User Adoption Analysis installation and configuration tutorial

This tutorial will show you the steps to install the Power-CRM User Activity & Adoption Analysis App. It will also walk you through the different pages of analysis.


 

Log into your Power-CRM system as you normally would. Then Click on the App launcher button.


 

Click on the button Open all apps


 

Click on the input field Search all of your apps


 

Search for Power BI


 

Click on Power BI


 

Click on the input field Address and search bar.
You may also press Ctrl+L.


 

Copy and Paste the link you received to install the Power-CRM User Activity & Adoption Analysis App


 

Click Install
 
If you receive a message – This app hasn’t been listed on AppSource. You don’t have permissions to install this app. contact your IT/Power-CRM Administrator.
 
You can refer the IT/Power-CRM Admin to the following Microsoft help article with the steps to enable the ability to install Power BI template apps not listed on Microsoft Appsource –

Click on the button Install


 

When the Power-CRM User Activity & Adoption Analysis App is finished installing, click Go to app


 

Click on the Section in the cell Your new app is ready! App ‘Power-CRM User Activity & Adoption Analysis’ has been successfully installed. Go to app


 

Click on the button Go to app


 

Click on the link Connect your data


 

 

The data will be refreshed from your Power-CRM system


 

After the data is refreshed you can explore the information.


 

The date slider lets you select a date range for the information


 

The User Logins & Roles page displays information about user logins to Power-CRM. The bottom table displays the security roles assigned to each user.
 
This is helpful to see if users are assigned roles they should not have.


 

On pages that have tables, you can click on a User Name to see only data for a specific user.


 

Click on the Records Created page. This shows the numbers of each main type of record created by users in the date range selected.


 

Click on Record Ownership


 

This page displays information about the numbers of active records owned by users.
 
This is helpful to see if users have too many records assigned to them or not enough records.


 

Click on Activity Analysis
 
This page displays information regarding activities, completed activities by users and overdue activities.


 

Click on Leaderboard


 

The Leaderboard displays the top 3 users for each main area of Power-CRM based on records created or completed.
 
We highly recommend that you socialize this page with all your Power-CRM users. It has been proved that user adoption increases significantly when you gamify the use, or adoption of a CRM system.
 
People are inherently competitive, by providing your user community with the Leaderboard report you are gamifying the use of Power-CRM which motivates your teams to increase their use.
 
You can publish this page of the report into a dashboard in Power-CRM, contact support if you need help on this. Another option is to click on theExport button and export the Leaderboard to either PowerPoint or PDF and email to your user teams.


 

Schedule the data to refresh on a schedule

 

It is highly recommended to schedule the data in the reports to refresh on a regular schedule.
 
Click on the button Go back


 

Click on the button Workspaces


 

Click on the button Power-CRM User Activity & Adoption Analysis


 

Note which item is the Dataset


 

Click on more options


 

Click on the button Settings


 

If you see an error, Your data source can’t be refreshed because the credentials are invalid. Please update your credentials and try again. perform the following steps


 

Click on the button Parameters


 

Check that the correct URL of your Power-CRM system is in this field, if not paste it and click Apply


 

Click on the button Scheduled refresh


 

Click on the checkbox


 

Select the frequency


 

Select your Time Zone


 

Specify who you would like to notify if a refresh fails


 

Click on the button Apply


 

Create a Dashboard in Power-CRM that displays the User Adoption Analysis Information

 

Click on the button App launcher


 

Click on the link Power BI


 

Click on the button Workspaces


 

Click on the button Power-CRM User Activity & Adoption Analysis workspace


 

Take note of the Report item


 

Click on the reportPower-CRM User Adoption Analysis to open the report.


 

Click on the button More options


 

Click on the button Pin to a dashboard


 

Click on the radio button New dashboard


 

Click on the input field Dashboard name


 

Provide a name like Power-CRM User Adoption Analysis.


 

Click on the button Pin live


 

Click on the button Close


 

Click on the item Records Created


 

Click on the button More options


 

Click on the button Pin to a dashboard


 

Click on the combo box Dashboard name


 

Click on the item Power-CRM User Adoption Analysis in the list


 

Click on the button Pin live


 

Click on the item Record Ownership


 

Click on the button More options

Find your Power-CRM app and click to open it. It may be named Power-CRM Sales & Customer Service unless your Admin changed it.


 

In the Dashboards area, click on the  New button


 

Click on the menu item Power BI Dashboard


 

Click on the Workspace dropdown


 

Click on the item Power-CRM User Activity & Adoption Analysis in the list


 

Click on the Dashboard dropdown


 

Click on the item Power-CRM User Adoption Analysis in the list


 

Click on the button Save


 

Click on the button OK


 

If you would like any other users (aside from yourself) to be able to view the User Adoption Dashboard you will need to share it.


 

Click on the Share Dashboard button


 

Click on the link Add User/Team


 

Click on the Quick Search textbox above the list


 

Search for the users to share the dashboard with


 

Click on the row selector for each user


 

Click on the button Select


 

Click on the button Add
